The 2D1N charter: one night, the whole boat

The shortest whole-boat charter Lady Grace runs. IDR 94,000,000 for up to ten guests, out of Labuan Bajo harbour and back inside 36 hours — enough for Padar at dawn, the dragons and the mantas, and not much more.

IDR 94 jt Whole boat, 1–10 guests
~36 hrs Harbour to harbour
10 Cabins, all yours
IDR 9.4 jt Per head at ten guests

The 2 days 1 night Komodo charter is the short-window option: one night on board, the whole 34-metre phinisi to your group. IDR 94,000,000 for one to ten guests, IDR 100,000,000 for 11 to 20, and IDR 4,000,000 per additional guest. It delivers Kelor, Manjarite and the Kalong sunset on day one, then Padar sunrise, Pink Beach and the Komodo dragon trek on day two. Manta Point and Taka Makassar normally drop out – there is not enough water time to reach them and still make an afternoon flight. Park fees are extra.

Rate note. Every rupiah figure on this page is the operator’s published rate read on 31 July 2026. Komodo National Park fees are set by government regulation, are not included, and change without notice. Ask the booking desk to confirm the current total in writing before you pay a deposit.

What one night actually buys

Plenty of visitors have exactly 48 hours in Labuan Bajo, usually because they are attached to a Bali itinerary with a fixed return. The honest question is whether one night on the water beats two day-trips from a hotel. It does, for one structural reason: the Padar sunrise. Day boats leave the harbour at first light and arrive after the sun is up. A boat anchored off Padar overnight puts you on the steps at 06:00.

Day 2Pink BeachSwimming and snorkelling off Pantai Merah

Padar at 06:00 is the one stop a one-night charter will not skip. Everything else on day two is scheduled around getting you there before the light goes flat.

What you give up, stated plainly

Two sites that people specifically travel for usually come off a one-night plan:

  • Manta Point (Karang Makassar) sits well south-east of the Padar-Pink Beach line. Reaching it, drifting it properly and getting back within a flight-day window does not work at 6-9 knots.
  • Taka Makassar, the tidal sandbar, is usually paired with Manta Point in the same afternoon and drops out with it.

If either is the reason you are coming, book the three-day itinerary instead. It is the shortest trip that reliably includes both.

Cost per guest as the group grows

A whole-boat price only makes sense once you divide it. At IDR 94,000,000 for up to ten guests, and IDR 100,000,000 for 11 to 20, the maths moves quickly in your favour.

Above twenty guests the extra-guest rate of IDR 4,000,000 applies on top of the 11-20 band, and the vessel’s ceiling is 22-24 guests across ten cabins. Larger group logistics, cabin allocation and children on the treks are covered on the family and group charter page.

Flight-day logistics from Komodo Airport

Komodo Airport (LBJ) sits about ten minutes from the harbour, which is what makes a one-night trip viable at all. Pickup and drop-off within the Labuan Bajo mainland area near the harbour is included in the charter.

  • Arriving the same morning you sail: workable if you land before about 09:00, but it removes all slack. A flight delay costs you Kelor.
  • Arriving the night before: the safer pattern. You sleep in town, board rested and the boat leaves on schedule.
  • Flying out on day two: book an afternoon or evening departure. The boat returns from the Komodo Island trek to the harbour, and you want margin between the two.

The boat you are chartering

One night or four, the vessel is the same: ten en-suite air-conditioned cabins for 22-24 guests, a sundeck with a jacuzzi and an open-air dining area, on a 34-metre ironwood-and-teak hull.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

How much is a 2D1N Komodo private charter?

IDR 94,000,000 for one to ten guests and IDR 100,000,000 for 11 to 20, with each additional guest at IDR 4,000,000. Park fees, flights and gratuities are separate. Rates published 31 July 2026.

Do I still get the Padar sunrise on a one-night trip?

Yes. The boat anchors overnight in the area and the trek starts at 06:00 on day two. That single fact is the main reason to sleep on the water rather than take two day trips.

Will I see manta rays on 2D1N?

Usually not. Manta Point sits too far south-east to include and still return for an afternoon flight. Book the 3D2N itinerary if manta snorkelling is the priority.

Can I book 2D1N per cabin instead of the whole boat?

The published per-person open-trip rates apply to the 3D2N departure. For one night the vessel is sold as a whole-boat charter; ask the desk if that changes for your dates.

What time do we board and return?

Pickup is in the morning of day one with a late-morning departure, and the boat is back at Labuan Bajo harbour during the afternoon of day two after the Komodo Island trek.

Is one night enough with children?

It works, but it is dense – two treks and an early start inside 30 hours. Families with younger children usually find the three-day or four-day itineraries far more comfortable.

How close is the airport to the harbour?

Komodo Airport is roughly ten minutes from the harbour area, and transfers within the Labuan Bajo mainland near the harbour are included in the charter.
